35 – SANCAKLI KOYU
SANCAKLI KOYU:
Kabak Tüneli’ndeki derin dalış sonrası ikinci ve üçüncü dalışlar için seçilmiş bir koydur. Koyun çevresinde Bizans döneminden kalma hapishane / gümrük kalıntıları ve bir kilise mevcuttur. Eğitim dalışları için de çok uygun bir yerdir. Dalış demirleme noktasından başlar ve kıyı boyunca sığ sularda devam eder. Dipte bol miktarda amfora kırıkları, değirmen taşları ve mermerden yapılmış bir dibek (büyük havan) bulunmaktadır. Dalış süresince ahtapot ve kaplumbağa görebilmeniz olasıdır. Dalış sonrasın da dilerseniz antik Roma yerleşimi Kalabantia’yı gezip iki bin yıllık patikadan yürüdükten sonra definecilerin defalarca kazıp harap ettiği kiliseyi ziyaret edebilirsiniz. Teknenin altındaki deniz çayırları ve beyaz kumluklar muhteşem maviliğin içinde turkuaz rengine bürünürler.

SANCAKLI BAY:
It is a perfect bay for second and third dives after the deep dive at Kabak Tunnel. There are ruins from the Byzantine period and a church scattered around the bay. Start the dive on the port side of the boat and head right with the shore on your left continue along the shore in shallow waters and follow it down and around to the left in a big circle. At the bottom, there are plenty of amphorae. Alternately if you start just behind the point on the left as you look out the bay, descend to 20 metres and keeping the wall on your right, follow it back into the bay. After about 20m you will come across 2 millstones. Keep going and there is an old stone anchor and a mortar made of marble. Broken amphorae are all over the area and large piles of ballast rocks. When you reach the Posidonia grass you should be almost back at the boat.
