SAM MAĞARASI veya MAVİ MAĞARA:
Türkiye’de önündeki mavilikten dolayı hemen her mağaraya mavi mağara denmiştir. Akdeniz’de hemen hemen her bölgede bir mavi mağara vardır. Bu sebeple SEAHORSE dalıcıları olarak bu mağaraya diğer dostumuz SAM’in adını verdik. Koyun girişindeki duvarın arka tarafına teknenizi bağlayın. Duvardaki işaretin önünden veya hala duruyorsa şamandıranın ipinden dalışa başlanır. Mağara yan yatırılmış bir Kum Saatini andırmaktadır. Her iki bölümde de tavanlarda hava boşlukları vardır. Dalgalı günlerde sıkışan havanın çıkardığı patlama sesleri sizi korkutabilir. Giriş oldukça sığdır, 5-8 m. Girişten hemen önce fenerler kontrol edilir ve oldukça geniş olan mağaraya girilir. Önce sağ duvardan başlayın. Tavanın ve tabanın birleştiği yerlerdeki kovuklar karidesler, gölge balıkları (pemperis pemperis), yengeçler, utangaç gelincik balıkları, karagözler ve meraklı orfoz, lahos yavruları ile doludur. 20-25 m. ilerlediğinizde mağara daralır ve ikinci bölüme geçilir. Derinlik 8-10 m. Derinlik artar ve açık denize çıkarsınız. Burada mağaranın genişliği 25-30 m. dir, geri dönüşü kaçırmamak için çıkıştan sonra sola dönün 30 m. gittikten sonra duvarın diğer tarafını bulun ve tekrar sola dönün. Burada 15-20 m. arası eğlenceli birkaç tünel vardır, geçebilirsiniz. Eğer kulak eşitlemesi probleminiz yoksa burada hava boşluğuna çıkıp tekrar dalabilirsiniz. Bir müddet ilerledikten sonra daralan yerden mağaranın ilk bölümüne geçilir.Burada yüzlerce gölge balığı dalgalarla beraber gider gelir. Feneri tuttuğunuzda parlak karınları harika ışık gösterisi sunar. İşte burası ses ve ışık için özel bir odadır. Emniyet beklemenizi yapıp hava boşluğuna çıkın. Eğer soluğan dalga varsa onların patlamalarının çıkardığı sesler ve su buharı çok etkileyicidir. Ayrıca tavandaki sarkıtlar da ilginçtir. Regülatör ve maskenizi çıkarıp konuşabilirsiniz. Moladan sonra tekrar dalıp 3-5 m. lerden ilerleyip dışarıda sizi bekleyen teknenize çıkabilirsiniz.

SAM CAVE or the BLUE CAVE:
In Turkey, almost every cave was called the blue cave because of the blueness in front of them. There is a blue cave in almost every region in the Mediterranean. Hence, as SEAHORSE divers, we named this cave after our other friend SAM. Tie your boat to the back of the wall at the entrance of the bay. Start the dive in front of the sign on the wall or from the rope of the buoy if it is still there. The cave resembles a horizontal hourglass. There are air pockets in the ceilings in both sections. Booming explosion sounds caused by waves on wavy days may scare you. The entrance is quite shallow; 5-8 metres. Check your flashlights just before the entrance and enter into the rather large cave. Start on the righthand wall first. The cavities where the ceiling and the floor meet are filled with shrimps, cave sweepers, crabs, forkbeards, breams, and curious groupers. When you get to 20-25 metres, the cave splits and narrows and the second part starts. Here, the depth is 8-10 metres. From here the depth increases and you will come out to the open sea. Here, the width of the cave is 25-30 metres; turn left after the exit so as not to miss the return, find the other side of the wall after going 30 metres and turn left again. There are several enjoyable tunnels between 15-20 metres and you can pass through them. If you do not have an ear equalisation problem, you can go up into an air pocket, descend and dive again. After going forward for a while, the cave narrows and pass back into the first section of the cave. Hundreds of cave sweepers come and go with the waves. Their bright bellies offer a wonderful light show when you shine the flashlight on them. This is a special room for sound and light. Make a safety stop and surface under the ceiling and into the air gap. If there is a swell, the sound of exploding waves and vapour is very impressive. Also, the stalactites on the ceiling are interesting. You can take out your regulator and talk. After a break, dive again, only go 3-5 metres and head out to your waiting boat.
